The Texas Eagle is a daily Long Distance train between Chicago and San Antonio by way of St Louis, Little Rock, and Dallas/Fort Worth, with connecting three times weekly through cars to Los Angeles on the Sunset Limited.
Southbound from Chicago, travelers have the option of a full on the day of their departure, with a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner the following day before their late evening arrival into San Antonio. Connecting passengers continue meal service with the second day meal options on the Sunset Limited.
Northbound from San Antonio, travelers have the option of a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the day of their departure, with a full breakfast and "express lunch" before an early afternoon arrival into Chicago
